My talk will be about my graduate work in the Virunga Mountains and my subsequent trips to the Albertine Rift Region of Central Africa. While my work focused on treefrogs of the genus Leptopelis, I also did general herp surveys in the Virungas and other areas of Rwanda. This talk will be about the hereptofauna of the region with tangents into what it's like to do fieldwork there, what opportunities are available to be a herpetologist, and tips to enjoy your trip if you visit the region.
